La guida completa per rimuovere le extension ciglia: scegli il remover giusto, evita i grumi bianchi e impara le tecniche dalla A alla Z.

The complete guide to removing eyelash extensions: choose the right remover, avoid white clumps, and learn techniques from A to Z.

Performing eyelash extension work is not a simple task, but a true jeweler's art. Professional lashmakers who carry out the work with meticulousness and precision are as precious as gold. But there comes a time when the client requests not only the application of false lashes but also their removal. This happens when the eyelash extensions have significantly thinned out, the lashes have lost their presentable appearance, or in the case of work done amateurishly by another technician. To quickly and safely remove eyelash extensions, a quality remover is necessary. Let's talk in more detail about this product and provide usage tips.

1. What is a remover?

A remover is a product used to safely and gently remove eyelash extensions. It is made up of gentle solvents, healing ingredients, and natural oils. Everything is extremely safe, hypoallergenic, and does not cause skin irritation or lash dryness. During the treatment, the structure of the natural hairs is not damaged, so the lashes look healthy even after the false lashes are removed. The remover's mode of action is to soften the glue layer to which the lashes are attached. By enveloping the attachment point, the gentle solvents in the product will softly dissolve the glue, breaking the bond between the artificial lashes and the natural ones. After a certain exposure time, the artificial lashes can be easily removed.

As often happens, some impatient clients, as soon as most of the lashes fall out, start frantically pulling off the remnants (always explain that this should not be done)! This severely damages the lashes, growth lines, and the eye mucosa. Lashes regenerate on average between 3-6 months, so girls will have to go around with "messy bits" for almost this entire period and will not be able to apply makeup properly! During DIY removal, the eye mucosa also becomes irritated and swollen. Blepharitis, conjunctivitis, and other unpleasant consequences are the result of such removal.

If clients do not have time to visit the lashmaker to remove the lashes, offer them a remover product for home use the next time they get an application. Safe formulation, affordable price, small quantity, easy to use, and fast. Yes, some prefer to generously coat the lashes with oil or greasy cream and wait several hours, but it is much more convenient to remove the lashes in a few minutes without having to reapply the product. And all this is possible with the remover.

2. What types of removers exist?

There are three types of removers: gel, cream, and liquid. Usually, the type is chosen based on the type of lashes. The exposure time also depends on the type of remover and usually ranges from 4 to 10 minutes. Each type of remover has its characteristics and advantages. It is important to consider the properties of each product and know how to use them correctly. Removers from the brands Extreme Look, Enigma, Lovely, Be Perfect, and Barbara ensure safe lash removal thanks to their composition containing a minimal number of components.

1. Cream Remover

It is a convenient product that, in addition to active components, contains fatty oils and moisturizing ingredients.

Features:

  • High density and consistency
  • No fluidity
  • Minimal risk of eye contact
  • Fits perfectly to the root area of the lashes
  • Economical consumption

The removal procedure is maximally comfortable for both the client and the lashmaker at any experience level. The cream remover is suitable for complete removal of eyelash extensions and is indispensable for removing volume extensions of any complexity. For partial removal, it is recommended to choose another type of product since the creamy consistency is not always easy to dose.

2. Gel Remover

It is a universal choice. It has an elastic and gelatinous consistency that practically does not drip. The product is convenient to use and is very popular among experienced lashmakers. The gel remover dissolves glue very well, but when in contact with the skin, due to heat, it may slightly change its consistency, becoming less dense. It is important to control the amount of product to avoid discomfort for the client.

Features:

  • Gelatinous and dense consistency
  • Ease of use
  • Quick removal of eyelash extensions
  • Suitable for spot or complete lash removal
  • Does not cause allergic reactions

3. Liquid Remover

In the past, it had another name - debonder. It has a liquid and watery consistency. More and more professionals refuse to work with liquid removers because they tend to easily get into the eyes, causing discomfort to the client. Unlike gel and cream removers, liquid removers often contain more abrasive substances, which can be compared to acetone but milder. It is indispensable when it comes to cleaning tools from glue and work surfaces. Regarding eyelash extension removal, it can only be used for removing single lashes/fans using a microbrush by an experienced lashmaker who can control and prevent the product from entering the eyes.

Features:

  • Dissolves even the most resistant glue quickly
  • Ideal for individually removing lashes and fans with a microbrush
  • Ideal solution for cleaning tweezers and other objects from glue.

3. How to choose the right remover for you?

To remove lashes, it is advisable to use a remover from the same brand as the glue. This will simplify the removal process since manufacturers take into account the peculiarities of the glue and remover during production.

The creamy remover has a denser consistency than the gel one, so it is especially recommended for beginners. However, the gel remover works faster and reduces the lash removal time. To choose the optimal remover for your work, it is necessary to experiment with different consistencies.

4. Remove lashes correctly: step-by-step instructions.

Regardless of the type of remover, the removal process is the same except for a couple of details.

  1. Unlike eyelash extensions, removal can be done sitting up, not lying down; it all depends on the client's desire and comfort.

  2. Isolate the lower lashes using patches and/or tape. This will also protect the skin of the lower eyelids from accidental contact with the remover.

  3. Using a microbrush, apply a small but sufficient amount of remover to the attachment area between the artificial and natural lashes. The remover layer must be even and well adhered to the attachment point. In the case of cream remover, the remover can be applied from both sides of the lashes, above and below as shown in the photo.

  4. The exposure time for cream remover is 3-7 minutes, for gel 3-6 minutes, and for liquid 3-5 minutes.

  5. Gently remove the eyelash extensions with tweezers, avoiding pulling the lashes or making abrupt and rough movements. If a lash is not ready to be removed, wait by removing the other lashes and then return; if necessary, add more remover.

  6. After removing all the lashes, proceed to remove the remover with a dry cotton swab until the remover is completely removed, and only then clean the eyes and lashes with a moistened cotton pad.

  7. At the end of the procedure, if a new extension application is not required, a regenerating product can be applied.

DID YOU KNOW?
